Bonnie....Work in progress

This is our girl Bonnie. We decided to dress her in dolls clothes... as you do. Not a happy cat that day but WE had plenty of fun :)
She has a grumpy flat face as it is so it was too cute and I just had to draw her. Not finished as yet but here's what I've done so far. Haha, the woes of a cat!

Lucifer

This was my first ever animation and I'm quite proud of it really. Its about Lucifer who is a young devil who's a bit "different". He doesn't belong in Hell with the others. He likes skipping, and sandwiches and chasing flower petals. :D

I had a lot of fun with this one. Getting the story right was key and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Then trying to decide what was most realistic for the timeframe....

This scene's a crack up! Drawing time at school, so what else would  a devil draw but pictured of people with decapitated heads and being generally maimed? .....But not Lucifer's of course!!

I actually think it'd be pretty neat to expand on it a bit. Maybe turn it into a kids book but we'll see! Time will tell anyway. I'd probably recreate him a little bit and it's coming up with the little extra details that the animation didn't have to include which will be the key. I have the idea already there though which helps a lot and it's usually the issue with writers block which gets me stuck and not motivated. Must work on that....

But anyway, here is the final product!! Enjoy :)

Town Mouse, Country Mouse Animation

These are character designs for my second animation: The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. It was my major piece for my final year of Multimedia and I had a lot of fun with it but would've preferred to have come up with a story of my own, but just didn't have the time.

I love how these turned out in the end. I used a combination of photoshop and illustrator and made life easy for myself by using an identical template for both mice.

Ok, so I've finally been inspired to actually do something with myself in terms of my artwork and getting it out there so here 'tis! After 2 years of Animation and Multimedia study straight out of highschool I took a year off and travelled to Europe for 9 weeks. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!

Currently my job is a far cry from anything artsy. I'm an Imports Clerk for a timber company (office chick) so what better to do but entertain yourself with a fellow "artsy" colleague and produce a sneaky book of sketches?! :P

Here's some contributions from my partner in crime, Shayne.
